Founded in 1856, Zion is a confessional Lutheran church in Carlinville, Illinois and continues to receive God’s rich mercy in Christ.  It is  a member of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS), which has 2.5 million members and 6,150 congregations around the world.
