The Lord’s Supper
We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. On the 1st Sunday, we use Divine Service: Setting III, and on the 3rd Sunday, we use Divine Service: Setting I.
For those partaking of the Lord’s Supper, the Apostle Paul writes in I Cor. 11:27, 29, “Anyone who eats the bread or drinks the Lord’s cup in an unworthy way is guilty of sinning against the Lord’s body and blood. Anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the Lord’s body brings judgment on himself as he eats and drinks.” In view of the serious nature of the Lord’s Supper, Paul commands us to examine ourselves to see if we are partaking the supper for the purposes for which Christ instituted with our hearts properly prepared. We heartily invite Confirmed members of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod to receive of the Lord’s Supper. Anyone else, we ask you to see the Pastor first for instruction so that you might receive the supper to your benefit rather than to your harm as the Apostle Paul warns.
Special Services
During the seasons of Advent and Lent, we gather for worship at 6:30 on Wednesday evenings. All are welcome to a potluck supper beforehand at 5:00. Please contact the church office for specific potluck and worship dates of the Advent and Lenten season.
